The standard
VT Auto Electrical is Dunkin’s workshop for Volvo truck electrical work. Harnesses, clusters, controllers and the electrics on an I-Shift — diagnosed on the bench, or on the truck if that is where the job has to happen.
You speak to Dunkin, not a call centre. The finding is explained before you are committed to a part.
The work
Fault history, live data and a parameter check before a controller or a loom is condemned.
View 02Cab wiring, chassis wiring, and dashboard harness rebuilds.
View 03PWM valves, gear selectors, and selector rebuilds.
View 04Instrument clusters, cab controllers, LCM and ECU programming.
View 05Parameter programming, so the truck and the replaced part agree.
View 06On-site breakdown assistance when the electrical fault can be proved where the truck is standing.
Where we go
Why the name
A Volvo that will not select a gear, a cluster that is dark, a harness that has been patched until it lies — those are this workshop. Volvo is the specialty. UD and Renault electrical jobs are taken on the same bench.
The work, in detailA job, in order
01 — Listen
When it happens, what was already tried, and whether the truck can be moved. That decides a call-out or a bay.
02 — Prove
Fault history and live readings, checked against the wiring, the air, or the part itself. A code is not a quotation.
03 — Repair
We replace what failed. We do not fill the job card with parts that were only nearby.
04 — Hand back
You leave with a plain account: the cause, the work, and what to watch on the next trip.
The range
Long-haul tractors. Cluster, harness and I-Shift electrical faults after a day on the N1 or the N3.
Regional and distribution work. Cab controllers and looms that live in stop-start city traffic.
Construction and tipper work. Harnesses and connectors that have to survive off the tar.
Medium distribution. A dark cluster or a dead selector costs a metro slot.
The lighter Volvo truck range. The same electrical standard, on a smaller vehicle.
FH12, FH16 and the other Volvo trucks still earning in local fleets. If the fault is electrical, ask.
Coverage
Workshop work when the job needs a bay. Call-out when it is safe to work where the truck is standing.
Volvo truck electrical is the specialty: FH, FM, FMX, FE, FL, and earlier Volvo trucks still in service. UD and Renault electrical work is taken on the same bench. If it is not that work, Dunkin will say so.
No. VT Auto Electrical is an independent workshop. Not part of Volvo Trucks, and not a dealer. You deal with Dunkin.
Yes, when the electrical fault can be proved safely on site. Field service is by arrangement. If the board or the harness needs the bench, the truck comes in.
No. This is an auto-electrical workshop. Engines, panel work and Certificates of Fitness are not the job. The electrical fault that stops the truck is.
